I have been involved with Dance Marathon for Riley Children's hospital for 6 years total. I did Carmel Dance Marathon at my high school all 4 years, was a 36-hour dancer my sophomore year of college for IUDM, this past year was a member of the Riley Development Committee for IUDM, and this year will also be on the Riley Development Committee. I have been a part of the Make A Wish Foundation for the last 3 years with my sorority raising money each year to sponsor a child to be able to go on a vacation of their wish. I have participated in the Hoosiers Outrun Cancer walk/run for the past two years, where Chi Omega won the award for the largest Greek organization in attendance. I have been a nanny for 5 years caring for children ranging in ages from 18 months to 14 years old, and am currently babysitting a family in Bloomington every week with a child who has severe developmental delays and autism. I was a member of Best Buddies Club all 4 years of high school and was involved in a Peer Facilitating class for 2 years working with children with mental or physical disabilities. I also was a member of Key Club in high school, which is a community service club where I volunteered in many places such as nursing homes, elementary schools, soup kitchens, etc. The biggest part of my life has been dedicated to traveling to Uganda, Africa, the last two summers to do mission work with the organization Arise Africa International. Each year we do something a little different but have given my time in building houses, delivering food to villages, doing bible studies with primary and secondary schools, and caring for children at an orphanage. I am also going back again this summer to do more nursing-related tasks such as speaking to each school about primary nursing care for children and what to do when I child gets sick. My plan after college is to work at an orphanage in Uganda as the primary nurse for a year.

I have been on the Executive Board two years in a row for Chi Omega as the Friendship chair and Risk Manager, as well as on Cardinal Cabinet, which is one step below Executive Board, for one year as the Director of Events. I was also a Safe Sister Representative for Chi Omega and was trained to educate my chapter on sexual assault awareness and prevention in Greek Life. In high school, I was the Senior Leader for the girls Varsity Track and Field team as well as a Freshman Mentor for two years helping the new freshman with their transition into high school.
