Involvement:

During my time at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana, I was a three-year member of Key Club and volunteered 20 hours a semester at various community events, such as elementary school carnivals and 5K fundraisers. I also participated in Student Council and National Honors Society, for which I volunteered at internal school events, and I was a two-year participant in Carmel Dance Marathon for Riley Children's Hospital. Since arriving to Indiana University, I have been involved in events both affiliated with IU and the city of Bloomington. I raised 700 dollars for IUDM 2014 and was an 18 hour dancer. I am also planning on joining an IUDM Committee for this year's event. Through the city of Bloomington, I volunteered at the 2014 Lotus World Music and Arts Festival. The festival is hosted by the not-for-profit Lotus Education and Arts foundation, and draws artists and performers from around the world who share their talents as a way to explore culture and celebrate world diversity.

Leadership:

For the duration of my senior year at Carmel High School, I served as the president of the 50-person Blue and Gold Company Show Choir. I singlehandedly designed and sold spirit wear for the group, and I raised revenues by 3000 dollars from the previous year. Currently, I am a peer tutor for the Kelley School of Business course K303 (formerly X201) : Technology and Business Analysis. I aid students with questions that they have during class time and explain the process of the equations they are learning in a way that is easy to understand in order to help them develop as prospective businessmen and businesswomen.
