As a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha I have recently become involved with Girls Inc.
Alpha Sigma Alpha develops women of poise and purpose whi.ch is very similar to
the mission of Girls Inc. which promotes self - confidence and independence in young girls.
I like that I am able to see firsthand the difference that the program makes
in these young girl 's lives.
Along with the service for Girl's Inc., I am also a member of the Indiana
Student Foundation (lUSF). IUSF provides philanthropic leadership
opportunities for students. Money raised by the IUSF is used to fund working
student scholarships. IUSF sponsors the Little 500 and I am excited that
this year I will be serving on the marketing committee.
Over the past year, I have also been involved with raising funds to support
the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Children's Miracle Network
Hospitals keep the funds in the community in which they were raised.
And lastly, I have worked over the past several years as a volunteer at the
Bloomington Animal Shelter.
