I volunteer weekly at Shalom Community Center. I am a Big for Big Brothers Big Sisters, although I am currently waiting to be assigned a Little. As a part of the philanthropy committee for IU Student Foundation, we are hosting the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. Beyond helping plan this event, I am currently fundraising to "plunge" on February 15. In 2012 I danced for 36 hours in IU Dance Marathon. I am involved with Delta Gamma's philanthropy event Anchor Slam, as well as our annual Lectureship Series.

I have been involved with IU Student Foundation for 2 years now. Our philanthropy is to raise money for student scholarships. This semester as a junior, I am gunning to be on steering committee my senior year. This involves taking a leadership role in planning Little 500 and spending many hours at the bike track. I have been involved with the IU RedSteppers for 2 years now as well. During the fall, we perform for IU football games. I have taken a leadership role by controlling our Facebook profile, designing apparel, and by recruiting new members. This last fall I attended a Catalyst Leadership Retreat where I learned about how to become an effective leader as well as how my personality type connects with those I interact with.
