Here at Indiana University I am involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. I am a member of Delta Phi Epsilonís own a capella group which I helped start last year! I love being able to get together with my sisters a few times a week and learn a new song. I am also involved in an organization called Safe Sisters where we are trained to help victims of sexual abuse and violence. We attend meetings throughout the semester and join MARS (Men against rape and sexual assault) to hear guest speakers and have discussions. It has been a very eye opening and rewarding experience for me and I have enjoyed being a part of this wonderful organization.
I am currently one of the sisterhood chairs for my chapter, Delta Phi Epsilon. I am in charge of organizing and planning all of the sisterhood events this semester and the upcoming semester. It has been so fun brainstorming ideas for fresh and fun sisterhood events with my co sisterhood chair! Additionally, I am the Delta Phi Epsilon liaison for Greek Jewish Council. Greek Jewish Council is comprised of one Jewish representative from each greek organization on campus. We meet every month to talk about ways to strengthen the Jewish community within Greek life here at IU and put on events that everyone is welcome to attend! Furthermore, I was the director of a club in high school called Operation Snowball. This club promotes drug use prevention, positive body image, and teambuilding. I was in charge of planning and leading a weekend retreat for high schoolers in which they participated in small group discussions, team building activities, and listened to guest keynote speakers. The event was an overwhelming success and it was so gratifying to see all of my hard work pay off and recognize that I touched many lives through this amazing program.
